One year ago today, Toby and I stepped onto the plane to Germany with a mixture of fear and excitement (and exhaustion from all that packing and moving) wondering what our year in Germany would bring. And here we are a year later after having one of the most exciting years of our lives! We are so blessed that everything worked out so wonderfully for us here. We found an amazing apartment with a kind, Canadian-loving landlord, created amazing memories with so many of our friends and family who visited, rode the rails and took discount airlines to some very cool spots all over Europe, made some amazing friends from Germany and all over the world, lived in an amazing, walkable, bike-able, people friendly city (where it hardly snows and they mix their beer with grapefruit juice) and even learned a bit of German.
Wow!
And now it's time to pack it all in and head home. We have mixed feelings about this of course. It's always difficult being in that place of transition, letting go of this amazing experience and moving on to the next thing. But the adventure is always continuing! So onwards and upwards we go!

Congrats on hitting the German one-year milestone! I know it must be a lot of mixed emotions coming home but I'm sure excited to have the 2 of you back! Countdown until the B & T get back is in effect!
