Day 48-49 The Weekend * Updated

On Saturday we attended "Wine in the Woods" a wine-tasting event with live music, food booths, etc at an outdoor music venue and wooded park right by our house.  We enjoyed a few wine samples before the lines became too long and waiting became annoying.  It was also a beautiful, warm day but it seems that my tolerance for heat and sun keeps going down so I headed home early with Julian.  That night mom and dad treated us to a lovely dinner out.

On Sunday my mom and dad were up early to attend church at the Basilica in Baltimore.  They did a bit of sightseeing and we met up with them at "Cafe Hon" a kitschy diner (once featured on Kitchen Nightmares) for brunch.

On the way to Wine in the Woods.  Julian needs his (empty) backpack and a balloon.  All set.

We all had wrist bands to get into the festival and Opa made Julian his own so he wouldn't be left out.

Free chair rentals!

The non-alcaholic crew drinking bubbly water.

Dinner

After dinner walk by the lake.  Lovely evening.

With our wristbands we were allowed to attend an evening concert by the Drive By Truckers and Lucinda Williams at Merriweather Post Pavilion, an outdoor concert venue that is so close to our house we get a free concert every weekend!  We only saw the first band.  Not our taste.  We didn't stick around for Lucinda but instead went for a walk to the Mall and got some yummy cherry cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory.

Sunday

Breakfast at Cafe Hon

Julian was happier watching the restaurant action from his spot on the floor. Whatever keeps a toddler happy in a restaurant is OK in my books.

Oma and Opa were kind enough to babysit again so Toby and I could enjoy another night out.  We went to see The Avengers in 3D.  What do you think about my glasses?  Do they suit me?
