Birthday in Baden-Baden

Saturday May 17th

What does every 29 year old secretly wish to do on their birthday?  Go to the naked spa of course.  And where is the granddaddy of all spas?  Baden-Baden.  Michelle and I planned a bit of a surprise for Andy on her birthday (with poem!) but I think she knew we were going to the spa.

We chose the more modern spa "Caracella" spa.  Plus: It has more options than the more historic "Friedrichs Bad" including thermal pools, steam rooms, a pool with a WATERFALL, indoor and outdoor saunas, etc, etc.  Minus: no "soap brush massage" with butt spank.

Notice how you can fake the "before" picture, but the after picture is pure relaxation.  No faking required.  Below, the streets of Baden-Baden.

We picked up some cake (including Black Forest cake) and then headed out for dinner.

The "Trinkhalle" which houses the tourist info and a fountain where one can try the salty, warm mineral water.  Mmmmm??

The casino.  We weren't dressed fancily enough to go in for some birthday gambling. Oh well.
